What is the Event Manager and what is
it used for?
Our multi-purpose Event Manager
allows you to create your very own intranet. Its great
for keeping track of schedules and jobs. It also works well
as an archive tool.
Who administers the event manager and
what can he/she do with it?
The Event Manager is administered
by an "Admin" user.
This user has the ability to add categories and also assign
specific users to have access to update individual categories.
This allows you, as the Admin, to delegate specific category
information to a specific user.
For example, the Admin could create
a category called "Landscaping Jobs"
and assign John Doe the task of keeping this portion of the
calendar up-to-date. Now when a landscaping job is scheduled,
John Doe logs-in to the Event Manager and adds the job.
How can the Event Manager be used as an
archive tool?
When jobs are scheduled and completed, the Event
Manager can act as an archive tool. Imagine that John
Doe has scheduled a project in May of 2000. Now imagine 2 years
go by and everyone forgot the projects completed for a customer
that month, simply access the Event Manager
and the customer category and go back to that date and you will
be able to access those completed projects What are the Features of the Event
Manager?
Features include:
Add unlimited categories
Add
unlimited events or customers
Generate calendars for staff
Post
events to specific categories
Search
by keyword
Forgotten
password function
Automatically
alert users of event changes
Where will the Event Manager be located? Located at a secluded directory
from your existing site, you can direct selected users to this
URL
to view event and meeting postings. Your users can view events
by category or search for events by keyword.
